BYODO-IN TEMPLE

The tour proceeds to the Byodo-In Temple, an exquisite structure situated in the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park on Oahu. This temple is an impressive replica of a 900-year-old Buddhist temple located in Uji, Japan, serving as a profound symbol of peace and harmony. Surrounding the temple are meticulously landscaped gardens, koi ponds, feeding areas, and a spacious meditation hall, all reflecting traditional Japanese aesthetics.

A major highlight of the temple is the sizable golden Buddha statue, towering at nearly 9 feet. Guests have the opportunity to participate in the traditional ringing of the peace bell, a three-ton masterpiece considered one of the world's largest working temple bells. The visit allows guests to delve into the temple's history and its role in promoting global peace. For those fascinated by Japanese culture, Buddhism, and the pursuit of inner peace, Byodo-In stands as a must-visit destination.

TROPICAL FARMS

Upon arrival, take a leisurely break amidst the charming orchards, savoring a variety of tropical-infused macadamia nuts. The farm is renowned for producing the freshest macadamia nuts and an assortment of delightful macadamia nut treats, including macadamia nut coffee, macadamia nut brittle, and macadamia nut honey.

LUNCH TIME

During the tour, we'll take a break for lunch, and it's already included in the tour package. Your guide will let you know about the lunch options available, which might have a few choices. This break is a perfect time for everyone on the tour to take a breather, recharge, and grab some food before we continue with the rest of the tour.

Having lunch provided means you don't have to stress about finding a good restaurant or bringing your own food. You can focus on enjoying the tour and hanging out with your fellow travelers without having to worry about where to eat.

WAIMEA VALLEY

After a scenic drive along Oahu's North Shore, the tour stops at the gorgeous Waimea Valley. This place is perfect for visitors because of its lush tropical gardens, waterfalls, and fascinating cultural history. People have lived in this valley for more than 700 years, and the Hawaiian cultural center there gives you a peek into the traditions and way of life of the island's native people.

You can enjoy a relaxed walk through the botanical gardens, taking in the beauty of exotic plants. If you're up for it, you can also take a refreshing dip in the Waimea Falls. Just a heads up, if you choose to do that, bring a change of clothes because getting wet is pretty much guaranteed. Waimea Valley is not just beautiful but also has a rich history, making it a must-visit spot on any trip to Oahu.

DOLE PLANTATION

he last stop on the tour is the Dole Plantation, a must-visit if you're a fan of pineapples. It's a fun and educational place for people of all ages. Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery, you can explore the history of Dole and the pineapple industry through hands-on exhibits and displays.

There are cool attractions like the Pineapple Garden Maze, known as the world’s biggest maze, the Pineapple Express train ride for a scenic tour, and the Plantation Grille where you can try various pineapple-flavored dishes. You can also wander through well-kept gardens and grab souvenirs, including tasty pineapple treats, from the gift shop.
